Art with a Heart works to connect individuals with a passion for service to meaningful volunteer experiences.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Notice

At Art with a Heart we greatly value the time and support of our volunteers. While we can not currently accommodate our regular numbers of volunteers, we are accepting new volunteer applications and on a limited basis, scheduling small service groups.

Art with a Heart is adhering to all CDC and State guidelines with regard to COVID. This means we are managing volunteer participation very carefully and our current numbers will not allow for Heart Helpers at this time.

For those who wish to volunteer from the comfort and safety of their homes, we have opportunities available. Please contact monica@artwithaheart.net if you would like to provide remote service for us. Additionally, if you would like to donate supplies or make a financial contribution, visit our donate page.

Thank you for considering lending us your time and talent. Generally, the volunteer experience happens in the Art with a Heart office during the week from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and encompasses a wide variety of tasks such as preparing materials for ongoing classes, working on public art or community projects, and helping create and finish pieces of art for HeARTwares, the organization’s social enterprise/retail store. Service to the organization will vary depending on need and may include painting, ceramics, cleaning, organizing, sorting, coloring, cutting, mosaic work, and grouting.

For those who prefer to be in the classroom with students, the programming branch will endeavor to find the best classroom fit for the volunteer.

Art with a Heart also has a teen service initiative, called Heart Helpers. Heart Helpers are youth volunteers ages 14-18. Heart Helpers meet on Fridays, during the school year, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.

Please note, while most volunteer work takes place during the week, there is sometimes a need for volunteers weekends or evenings.
