Randi Pupkin

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Randi graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1987 and was admitted to the Bar that same year. After 14 years, she left her construction litigation practice and started Art with a Heart in order to fully and creatively pursue her passion for helping those in need.

Monica Henderson

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Monica has a BS in Business Administration from UNC Chapel Hill and a Masters in Human Resource Development from Towson University. She has worked in Baltimore for over 30 years in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors in many capacities.

Matt Mitchell

DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Matt comes to Art with a Heart with prior professional experience in secondary English education, educational leadership, and experiential leadership development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre from the University of Lynchburg and a master’s degree in Education from Towson University.

Megan Fortman

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Megan holds a BFA in Studio Art and a minor in Psychology from the University of Delaware. Ms. Fortman began her journey at Art with a Heart as a college intern passionate about using art as a tool for change. Fueled by her Art with a Heart experience, she participated in visual art outreach programs in both Tanzania and Thailand and returned to Art with a Heart as a staff member in 2016.

Christina Ralls

DIRECTOR OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT & SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Christina graduated Cum Laude from University of Maryland Baltimore County with a B.A. in Visual Arts with a concentration in Animation and earned a M.A. in Community Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art. Prior to joining the organization in 2012, Ms. Ralls was the Education Coordinator at the Chesapeake Arts Center and participated in a community arts program in Nicaragua.

Ali Mirsky

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICE & PUBLIC ART

For the past two decades, Ali has specialized in the creation of contemporary mosaics for private residences and public spaces. Ali has led community art projects all over the world and in 2018 joined Art with a Heart to continue that mission. Among her many accomplishments, Ali received the Artists’ Choice Award at the International Society for Mosaic Artists Exhibition in Seattle, Washington.

Summer Claypoole

DIRECTOR OF LEADERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT

Summer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, a B.A. in History and a minor in Public Health from the University of Delaware. She began her non-profit career managing educational space makeovers across the country, and working with contractors, school districts, sponsors, volunteers, and her favorite group, students. A lifelong Baltimorean, Summer was excited to join the Art with a Heart team in January 2019 and focus her commitment on the city and its young leaders.

Danyett Tucker

CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER

Danyett is a master teaching artist and visual arts content specialist. She has a B.A. in Fine Arts with a concentration in Illustration from Morgan State University. “Mrs. D” is a published author and illustrator and has over a decade of experience providing visual arts programming and professional development across the state of Maryland.

Jake Parchem

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Jake is a 2012 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Art Education with a passion for teaching. He has taught students from Pre-K to retired adults, developed impactful cross-curricular lessons, and helped design educational materials and objects that are now part of the permanent collection at the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, WI.

Nadia West

COORDINATOR OF LEADERSHIP & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Nadia is a graduate of the Elijah Cummings Youth Program in Israel and a 2019 graduate of Towson University with a B.A. in Family and Human Services. She began her work at Art with a Heart as an intern with Art with a Heart’s workforce development program, HeARTworks in September 2019.

Alex Dramis

PROGRAMS ASSISTANT

Alex began at Art with a Heart as an intern with the programming team in Spring 2019 and now serves as the organization’s full-time Programs Assistant. Ms. Dramis is an artist who works in charcoal and oils and is pursuing a degree in Art and Design with a minor in Marketing at Towson University.

Madison Krchnavy

ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICE & PUBLIC ART

Madison Krchnavy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Goucher College with a B.A. in Communications Studies. Prior to joining Art with a Heart in October 2019, she interned at a variety of art nonprofits throughout Baltimore City, including the Maryland Film Festival, the Baltimore Office for Promotion and the Arts, and Baltimore Youth Film Arts.

Klause Ferrell

HEARTWORKS ASSISTANT

Klause Ferrell is an undergraduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta in Graphic and Web design. Klause found his way to Baltimore, and first became involved with Art with a Heart as a client of the job training program HeARTworks. Graduating from the program, he returned as an intern in the AWAH Workforce Development and Social Enterprise program. In February 2019, Klause was hired as Assistant to the Director of Workforce Development and Social Enterprise.

Kris Hoffman

PROGRAM SPECIALIST

Kris is a retired attorney who met Randi in law school. Kris worked for the State of Maryland for over 20 years, and beginning in 2015, she started volunteering with Art with a Heart. Immediately after retiring from the practice of law in 2018, she joined the staff at Art with a Heart.
