Art with a Heart’s mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art.
OUR STORY
In March of 2000, Randi Alper Pupkin incorporated Art with a Heart from the desk in her law office. Through that first year, from the trunk of her car, Randi took visual art classes to four community sites in Baltimore. Now, Art with a Heart is celebrating its 20th anniversary as an integral organization in the Baltimore community, filling the creative void by providing equitable access to visual art experiences. In the past year, Art with a Heart provided over 14,000 visual art classes, engaged over 3,700 volunteers, installed 39 public art pieces (for a total of 300 to date), provided 110 students with workforce training and continued to enhance the civic participation of students through its Art of Leadership program.

Public Art
Art with a Heart creates public art murals and mosaics that beautify public spaces and bring the community together to engage in the creative process. Art with a Heart specializes in painted murals, mosaics, and mixed media artwork using a wide variety of materials and techniques.
Community Service
Art with a Heart relies on the dedication of many volunteers who work on activities that support all of the branches of work. Activities will vary depending on organizational need and may include painting, ceramics, cleaning, organizing, sorting, coloring, cutting, mosaic work, and grouting.
